Description
Terms of Domain Name Sales on Ebay for domain names registered under Nominet rules (for example domain names ending .uk)
It is the responsibility of the buyer to collect the domain name. As there is no physical item to collect then the buyer agrees that the item is collected when the domain name has been transferred to the buyers designated email address. The buyer cannot cancel the transaction once the seller (us) has started the domain name transfer with Nominet and Nominet have sent the buyer an email asking the buyer to confirm the transfer of the domain name. The buyer agrees that once the transfer process has started it can take upto 10 days for the transfer to complete. To successfully complete a transfer the buyer must have an account with a domain name registrar. There are many domain name registrars to choose from and some may offer the buyer a free of charge ‘transfer in’ service or charge the buyer a small fee. Nominet also charge a fee to transfer the domain name and Nominet's transfer fee is currently £10 plus VAT and this is paid to Nominet by the buyer as part of the transfer process. If the buyers chosen registrar charges a fee to transfer in the domain name then the buyer agrees to pay such fee. Once the domain name is transferred in accordance with Nominet rules then the sale is complete. The buyer understands that once the domain name has been transferred to them it cannot be returned and therefore no refund can be given.
